Fabric value ideas:

Not sure if your fabrics are light, medium and dark.  There are several ways to determine this:  use a value finder (red or green plastic rectangle will show whether the fabrics are a range of values), Xerox samples of your fabrics (this will quickly show if there are a range of values).  Photograph the fabrics in black and white will also show the values.

Using all the fabrics cut 2—2 inch strips, 2---1 ½ inch strips, and 2---1 inch strips totaling 6 strips from each fabric.  This will yield 54 strips (9 fabrics cutting 6 strips from each fabric).
