Goin’ in Circles Fiber Art Quilt Supply list

 

Supplies

* An array of black and white prints 5 ˝ “ blocks are

used.  Charm squares are a great idea or scraps, fat

quarters and trade with a friend.  The sample quilt

does not use the same fabric twice, but design your

quilt the way you desire.     

*PATTERN- sold at the Quilt Patch                                                            

* 1 yard of fusible web with a paper backing—

wonder under, lite heat and bond

* Ruler and rotary cutter

* Border- a strip that is 34” long-- 1/8 yards will

 work of two different prints

* Batting 38” by 25”

* Backing 38” by 25”  a yard is plenty—think

about an unusual graphic print in case you may

wish to quilt the project from the back and

follow the print in the fabric

*Walking foot if you have one. 

* Thread for sewing the circles on the background,

 machine quilting thread, and invisible thread

* Size 16 topstitch needles for use with the invisible

 thread                                                                                                                *Stitch and tear or tissue paper for stabilizer when                            

sewing the circle to the background

*Invisible thread YLI, sulky are just some of the brands

*large acrylic Beads are used on the sample for embellishment

Other supplies:

Sewing machine, extra needles, bobbins and manual

Lunch and a drink-no refrigeration is available

Basic sewing supplies:  scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc
