Priscilla Stultz

I have been sewing since I was 10 years old and have made clothes for myself and then later for my husband and children.  In 1995, I became interested in quilting and made my first quilt and first art to wear jacket.  I began entering challenges and competitions in the year 2000 in wearable art and fiber art.  My first success came in 2000 when I entered a “Diamond Challenge” for the Quiltmakers Magazine.  The entry was an original design Field of Flowers.  I began to show my quilts/fiber art and wearables as much as possible at shows and galleries.  My first success in the wearable art field was a ribbon at the Mid Atlantic Wearable show in 2001.

In 2001, I joined an Art Quilt Group in the Northern Virginia area.  We have had several challenges and have shown quilts/fiber art at several venues in the Virginia.  We continue to branch out with our skills and art.  I sold my first piece of fiber art “Comet Kohutek” in 2004. In 2003 I was a

designer for the Bernina fashion show “Fantasy” and three other design opportunities followed.

I teach classes and present trunk shows on wearables arts and fiber arts.  I have a small pattern line that I sell.  I also sell a limited number of wearable art and fiber art pieces under the label Priscilla Creations.  At the present time I am a member of the Fairfax Art league and exhibit on a regular basis and sold a journal size quilt at the first show of the year.
